The new appointment comes as bOnline prepares for another year of more than 300% growth in its VoIP business after a record 2019. bOnline continues to build its outstanding service reputation by focusing on serving the unique needs of micro-businesses, a market segment that has always been underserved by traditional service providers.
Burckhardt brings a wealth of industry experience to bOnline having held roles at BT, Telefonica and MTS in Russia. Up until June of 2019, he was Managing Director of Vonage UK, where he achieved double-digit year on year growth over the last five years.

Simon has more than 25 years' experience in senior leadership roles in the Telecoms and Tech sector.
Most recently Simon was a Managing Director of Vonage UK and International, leaving in the Summer of 2019. Vonage is a NAZDAQ listed cloud-based communications company selling UC, CCaS and CPaas to businesses across the globe. In the UK Simon's team concentrated on selling VoIP and UC products to the vibrant SME market, becoming one of the leading providers in the UK utilising a direct simple "easy to business with" approach resulting in double digit revenue growth each year since 2013.
His previous career included "C" level roles in international telecoms companies including Telefonica, O2, BT, Ooreedo (Qatar Telecom) and MTS, in locations varying from Qatar to Moscow. He also held positions in other tech companies including a Big Data company, a mobile marketing business as well as founding a consultancy company with BT colleagues.
Simon is now working as Chairman and board advisor to a number of businesses in the Telecom and related sectors. He is delighted to add bOnline to his portfolio.
