Simply record your message directly into the system via your bOnline phone account holder dashboard or upload a pre-recorded message. It's that easy!
By default, your phone system already has a generic professional closed message and with this latest feature release, you can easily customise this message as and when you need.
While it may seem like a small detail, setting up an after-hours announcement will help you present a professional image to all callers even when you’re closed. By presenting a clear, welcoming message containing relevant information about your business, it shows callers you value their time and want to assist.
Using the bOnline phone dashboard you can set a professional closed greeting. This greeting will play each time a customer calls your business outside of your office hours.
How to set up
To record:
- Select ‘Call Flows’ and scroll down to ‘Closed Greeting’
- Select ‘Record’ to record an audio message
- Using the prompts to “start recording’, ‘Stop record’, ‘Play Back’ and ‘Save’ or ‘Bin’ your recorded message.
To Upload:
- Select ‘Call Flows’ and scroll down to ‘Closed Greeting’
- Select ‘Upload’ to choose an existing audio file from your device and ‘Save’.
What to include in a closed greeting message
Not sure what to include in your greeting message? Here are some tips:
- Your business name
- Your business hours
- Call to action (for example: call back tomorrow or leave a message.)
