Looking back at 2017

2017 has gone in a flash! It seems like 5 minutes ago since we were all counting in the new year. Well, you know what they say ‘time flies when you’re having fun’, and that’s certainly how this year has gone for us here at bOnline.

We’ve had a fantastic year, and we’d love to share some of our highlights with you.

1 - We’ve introduced Cloud Phones

It’s been a long time in the making, with many (many) meetings with the senior management team to get the system perfect, but it’s now ready for customers.

We’re so pleased to be offering this cloud-based phone system because we really think it’ll make a difference for our customers. It’s easy to download (ready to call, with a phone number in 24 hours), quick to learn, highly professional and offers a crystal clear line, all without costing a fortune. It’s the perfect solution for solo entrepreneurs and growing teams.

2 - Designed and launched the MYbOnline app

In September, bOnline launched the brand new MYbOnline app for all phone and broadband customers.

The MYbOnline app allows you to:

✓ Access billing history, including invoices and account statements
✓ Review monthly charges, allowance and active add-ons (live usage isn’t available at this time)
✓ Make payments on your account via the app
✓ Start a live chat with bOnline for quick support
✓ Browse and redeem exclusive offers from bOnline

It’s making a huge difference to the way our customers manage their accounts, and we've already had some great feedback: "With the bOnline app, I have access to my latest bill with one tap, and my current package information is also displayed on the home screen. It's really convenient for me to be able to compare my bill with previous months' - no matter where I am!" - Tom, MYbOnline app user.

3 - Reached 1,000 positive reviews on Trustpilot

This was a real high point for the company. We pride ourselves on our customer service, and it’s great when our customers are happy. Our aim is to make all our customers happy, and we’ve put a lot of hard work into our escalation process in the past year. So even when a 1* review comes in, we use it as an opportunity to improve our service and make sure the mistake doesn’t happen again.  

4 - Our offices have grown

We’ve seen our offices, both the head office in London, and the Cape Town office grow. We’ve hired a number of people this year, in order to improve customer experience, expand our reach with marketing and our services, by creating products like the new MYbOnline app. We love to see the company growing sustainably and will look to continue this in the new year.

5 - Introduced a new senior management team

Since we’re growing, it seems sensible to have the right management in place. We have been pleased to welcome three new managers to the bOnline family. Philip (Finance Manager), Sarah (Sales Manager) and Nazlee (Operations Manager) have joined the team over the course of the year and are already getting stuck in and making their mark. We’ve seen a great improvement in the teams for which they manage.

Final thoughts

There has been plenty of things going on in 2017, too many in fact to mention here. It’s been a fantastic year, and thanks to all our customers for being so great. Here’s to the new year.
