International Women’s Day is a time for us all to reflect on what has been achieved in recent years to bring equality and a greater diversity to the workplace. It also focuses on what more can be done to press for progress.

At bOnline, we’re lucky enough to have some brilliant female leaders and excellent younger employees. Our women leaders show a real strength of character, power and humour which inspire me, and their teams whom they manage. They deserve a mention today because of their achievements in their roles and the changes they’re making at bOnline.

Sarah Park - Head of  Website and Cloud-phone Systems

Sarah has now been with us for over a year. With a lot of hard work has redefined the sales culture and team in the UK office. Since joining she has taken on new services and been a mentor to the relatively new team she manages. Sarah is all about team spirit and this shows in her organised team building and socialising events for the whole office.

Nazlee Davies - Head of Customer Service Operations

Being head of customer service operations is no easy task, and I’m sure Nazlee would agree, but with her innovative solutions to customer issues, and approach to continued training and employee engagement we are seeing more happy customers and employees.

Shireen Dirk - Head of Telecoms Sales

Managing a team of over 20 sales consultants, Shireen motivates her team to get record sales week-on-week. She generates positivity which funnels down to her team and through to customers.

Sophie Collins - Account Development Executive

Sophie brings a great energy to her work, and as an account manager, she really cares for her customers. Her ‘can do’ attitude has seen more and more happy customers and in the short time Sophie has been with us, she’s adopted “bOnline DNA & Culture” and is an invaluable staff member.

Of course, all our staff are exceptional, but we can’t list them all! International Women’s Day is an event that celebrates women’s achievements across the globe – from the political to the social – while calling for gender equality.

Starting in the 1900’s, it’s been held each year on the 8th March, to celebrate women's achievements throughout history and across nations. It is also known as the United Nations (UN) Day for Women's Rights and International Peace.

Today isn’t just a celebration of the movement for women’s rights. It’s so much more than that! It’s also an indicator of awareness and interest in gender equality issues – and an opportunity for businesses to take a lead role in the conversation.
